Famous across Korea for its starring role in popular K-drama Winter Sonata, Nami Island is a lush green oasis that feels a million miles from the hustle and bustle of Seoul.

Visit Nami Island with zooFamily

With us, there are no entry fees on the day - all you've got to do is show your pass!
Your zooFamily pass includes entry into Nami Island via a free 5-minute ferry ride, which includes a return trip
Discover the many attractions of verdant Nami Island.
Stroll Gingko Tree Lane, get romantic in the Maple Lane of True Love and scratch your selfie itch by the Winter Sonata statue.
Shaped like a crescent moon, Nami Island is a tiny sliver of land in the middle of the North Han River, around an hour-and-a-half from central Seoul. Explore the vast meadows, beautiful landscapes, various restaurants, shops and attractions within the island.
Fancy a break from the hustle, bustle and bright lights of the city? Want to trade soaring skyscrapers for towering trees and tranquil riverside walks? Then Nami Island is likely to be right up your street.
You can expect a different experience depending on which time of year you visit. In spring the island bursts into life and beautiful pale pink cherry blossoms bloom in early April. In summer it's all about lazy picnics on grassy banks and gentle bike rides through shaded avenues of giant pines and redwood trees. The island is a blaze of color in autumn, when the leaves in the Maple Lane of True Love are all fiery oranges and burnished reds, and the photographers are out in force. In winter, a blanket of snow lends a magical feel to traditional pagodas and groves of white birch trees.
It’s also worth seeking out Nami Island’s fine statues, including a huge bronze sculpture of a woman breastfeeding her child. Fans of K-drama Winter Sonata will also be keen to see the life-size statue of lead characters Kang Joon-sang and Jeong Yoo-jin, who shared their first kiss on the nearby Glass Sequoia Bridge.
Other attractions on the island include a mini tourist train, a zip wire, a museum of musical instruments and facilities for swimming, roller skating and water sports.

Each day, ferries depart from Gapyeong Wharf to Nami Island at 30-min intervals between 8am and 9am, then every 10 to 20 mins between 9am and 6pm. After that, they're every 30 mins until the last ferry at 9pm. So you can be flexible when using your ticket with zooFamily.

During the fall season (from Sep 16th to Nov 13th), the first ferry leaves a little earlier, at 07:30, and the last ferry is pushed back later to 21:30. You'll also be able to get this later ferry on Fridays, Saturdays, and the day before a national holiday during the summer season, which runs from Jul 15th to Aug 21st.

This half-day DMZ tour ticks off the most interesting and important spots at the DMZ.
Includes return travel to Seoul.
Learn the history of this unique place from your expert tour guide.
Learn more about the history of the Korean War and the Cold War on this popular and educational guided DMZ tour
The Demilitarized Zone (also known as the DMZ) is the 4km-wide, 240km-long stretch of land separating North and South Korea. Expect barbed wire and electric fences from this unsettling buffer zone and have the chance to lookout onto this vast area of highly-contentious land. This tour will stop off at the most important areas of the DMZ and allow you a glimpse into the political tensions of these two politically-opposing countries and give you a deeper understanding of Korea's modern history.

DMZ Tour highlights

Imjingak Pyeonghoa-Nuri Park - once a safe space for refugees during the Korean War, you'll have the chance to learn about the people who traveled from North to South Korea during this tumultuous period of history.
The Bridge of Freedom - built to liberate 12,773 prisoners in 1953, the bridge was used by South Koreans returning home from the North.
The 3rd Infiltration Tunnel - built by North Korea as a means of invasion, you can enter part of this 1,635m-long tunnel.
Dorasan Observatory - undoubtably the most exciting part of this tour, you'll have chance to look across the border into North Korea using high-powered binoculars. You'll be able to see Kjong-dong (also known as Propaganda Village). This supposed collective farm was set-up by North Korea as a means of showing how good life is north of the DMZ, but in reality, it appears that no one actually lives there and the buildings are in fact empty shells. You can also see as far as Gaesong, North Korea's ninth-largest city.
